So other than the fact that I’m starting to feel old, I had a great birthday.  I spent most of the day at school, but my students were so excited for me that they made it a good day.  I got piles of sweettarts (they know me so well!) and quite a few homemade cards from them.  My 7th graders also pointed out that I am twice as old as they are. Thanks for that one!  Jason made me a cake, gave me the cutest boots, took me to dinner at Texas Roadhouse where I got to sit on a saddle while our CRAZY waitor gave me a “Yeehaw!” (unfortunately we didn’t get any pictures of that), and took me to see The Blindside, which by the way is an AMAZING movie!

Symbols of love and support in trying times! The roses are from Jason (Love you babe!) and the daisies are from my mom and sisters. You are all so amazing and I appreciate you soooooo much! (I was pretending I was a good photographer.)

I am so behind on updating my blog!  Two months ago, my little brother got married! They were sealed in the St. George temple. Congrats you two! Love ya! Also might I add that I have the cutest nieces and nephews in the entire world!  My mom made the little girls’ dresses and little boys’ vests. She is absolutely amazing! She also made the cute center pieces!

Since it’s been two months, I thought it would be nice to post some pictures of the deer Jason shot this year. He went on the muzzleloader hunt with his dad and brother. Jason and his brother both got one. Jason is quick to point out that his is the bigger one!

So this summer has been one full of family reunions! The first one was the Sitterud reunion. I forgot the camera, so I don’t have any pictures, but we still had a lot of fun.  We played water balloon volleyball, The Price is Right, and a few other games.  It was so fun to see everyone!

The next reunion took us to northern California: the Allen reunion. Although the nights got a little cold, we had a lot of fun hiking through the redwoods, clamming, and spending time on the beach.

Last weekend was the Larsen reunion. Jason wasn’t able to go with me, but it was still fun. We played a lot of relay games and went ice blocking.

It was also my mom’s birthday last week, so Macie and I made her a birthday cake and we had a small party.

A lot of people have been asking me to post pictures of our new house. I was thinking I would wait and do it once we were all settled, but that is taking longer than I thought, so I’ll just post now. I did my best with the pictures, but the bedrooms were quite difficult to get a decent picture of.  Just bear with me.  It looks way better in person. =)

It’s still a work in progress!

Jason and I had a great 4th of July.  We didn’t get to watch any parades since you have to camp out to get a seat for the parade in Provo, so we just slept in.  After a morning of Mario Kart, we had a delicious BBQ.  That night we went to Stadium of Fire. SheDaisy and the Jonas Brothers were the performers.  Even though we didn’t know any JB songs, we still had a lot of fun. Traffic was UNREAL after it was over, so we were very glad we took the scooter.  We took the bike lanes and went around most of the back-ups. It only took us an hour to get home instead of the 3+ it would have taken in a car!

Today we decided to do something a little different and went up into Montana to visit some old mining towns. It wasn’t too exciting, other than the really good homemade ice cream and the two story outhouse in NV City. We also went into West Yellowstone and saw Guys and Dolls at the Playmill Theatre. Most of the actors come from BYU and BYU-I so there were a couple jokes geared toward a LDS audience that were pretty funny. Overall it was a good performance.
